So. Wednesday. Panic, in Oxford. So far AFAIK we have [livejournal.com profile] j4, [livejournal.com profile] lnr, [livejournal.com profile] ewx, [livejournal.com profile] daneel_olivaw & [livejournal.com profile] hoiho coming from Cambridge, & me, Pete, [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth, [livejournal.com profile] marnameow, [livejournal.com profile] sbp, & [livejournal.com profile] wintrmute from London. If anyone's not coming now, or if anyone else fancies coming along, let me know.

Cambridge-folk: sort things out amongst yourselves, give me a ring when you get to Ox, I reckon.

London-folk: we need to get the Oxford Tube (coach), which goes from Victoria (or Marble Arch or Notting Hill or Shepherds Bush if any of those are easier). It'll cost a tenner (7.50 if you have a YP railcard), & takes about an hr & a half. What time can people make? Early = better as we need to find FOOD once we get to Ox.

Also: I have got a DJ set, so any requests will be carefully considered.

This really is neither sensible nor, I think, possible. No. Really. Not.

This would be an absurdity. I have not only WORK on Wednesday and Thursday, including important meetings on Thursday morning, but also a free dinner on Thursday evening courtesy of the Other Council.

John, you sound like me - go do the absurd thing, you're only young once - what's a night without much sleep in the overall scheme of things? I'm sure you'll still be going strong at Thursday's dinner - and even if you're not, at least you won't have to cook for yourself. Go To Panic.

I don't think you are quite understanding. A night without sleep is not the worst thing in the world, though people may notice at Important Meetings. However, I have already done this thing once in the last week, to go to Boutique. Also, driving along the motorway at 2am on no sleep is not my favourite thing, and Thursday evening will require being nice and polite to people, which I am bad at at the best of times.

Although my room is not locked, so if you want crash space and don't mind like, the utter utter mess, just ask Dan.

What time is early?

You make the details and I shall agree and do what you say. I'm sure it's easiest that way....

Sean will probably struggle for six as well - I think seven should be do-able. Sean? What do you think?

Are they once-an-hour buses?

That's a bit more manageable. So if we arrange for the 7pm bus, it's not the end of the world if we're a few minutes late because tubes hate us.

Am pondering whether or not to wear my stompy boots, because I'd need to wear them into work. Hrrrm.

I suspect the 7pm bus is a more likely thing for me too..

what time's your set? cos, if its like 10 or 10.30, that's cool. but, um, 11 would be more difficult.

Hello. I'd be up for FOOD and/or pub pre-panic.
And post-food panic, obviously. :)

Will do. Dunno if we'll arrive in time for food: some of us will be working til at least 5:30 or 6 and it's a fairly long drive, so we might decide to stop and eat en route instead or something.

I wanna be sedated!

Hurrah!
Mini-Pete the Bunni will be there, and going insane as normal.
Could I request Helen Love? Don't care which one :)
