Too hot

It is clearly too hot & sunny for me to be sat inside at a desk. I disapprove of this "working" business, or at the least of doing the working in an office. I want to go *home* and sit on the decking with a laptop, if I really have to do stuff.

Plus, I sprained my hand on Friday evening putting the tent away, & it transpires today that typing is bad for it. I can't really avoid typing, either. Ow.

I'm currently working in a darkened room listening to Paul van Dyk; its probably cooler here at home than at work, although its not as cool as being freeze-dried in the machine room :)

Hope your hand gets better soon; its probably a good idea to try and rest it as much as you can (so take more rest breaks than you need if you have to type) otherwise it'll just end up being a long-term injury which would not be good.

Also, one can wear fewer clothes at home

Very true; although since I was flip-flopping on if I was going into work or not today I'm wearing work-like stuff. The main differences being that I'm not wearing a smart t-shirt and don't have the trouser part of my trousers attached. That and I'm not wearing boots :)

Being at home has the major advantages of being able to play music via speakers rather than headphones and having cat-enforced breaks :)

Poor you;-(

Have you checked the basics - like is your chair at the right height, and are your hands supported? I have a wrist pad on my work computer, and a wrist rest on my mouse mat too. Not sure whether they'd help - but might be worth investigating, especially if you spend lots of time by your computer. Other than that, maybe Boots for a wrist support.....

Hope it sorts itself out soon;-)

Cat-enforced breaks! Robot likes to curl up on my lap as I work.

'cept that in this heat the cats have decided that they'd rather stretch out in cool places than sit on a human or atop of the monitor :(
