rejs told me how to get the Palm working again. Sadly this involved a hard reset & the loss of all data. I think I have a *fairly* recent backup at home...

I have a sneaking suspicion that this will happen again, though, so I'll likely look to get a replacement in the near future anyway. The Treo is definitely looking tempting...
