Good stuff

Not only did I manage to get shadow's memory fixed & get it booted last night, but I also managed to get cdrecord working on aphex (hey, it's only taken a year & a half to get around to it...), & consequently now have a CD which I am *hoping* to be able to upgrade shadow from. Assuming that all goes well. Ran out of time last night, & thus am deeply irritated that I now have to be at work instead of at home playing with computers. Never mind.

And the rocket seedlings have started coming up! No sign of the chives yet, mind. One of the coriander seedlings I planted out on Tuesday appears to be making the decision to live; the others are as yet unconvinced. And the basil *badly* needs repotting - far too overcrowded in there. Ditto the mint. I should have some pots arriving today or tomorrow - will have to go buy some more compost as well, though.

And it's Friday! That is also good stuff. BMovie tonight.

Had a nice night in with Pete last night - we were going to watch The Big Lebowski, but what with faffing & phone calls, didn't manage it. Good to spend some time together, though, just chatting & stuff.

I can lend you a bucket of compost, if you need - I'll have to get more soon, but I've got 50 litres or so unused right now. I was also semi-cunningly-planning to ask my parents to drive me to a home and garden centre type place, possibly, Saturday, because there are a few bits and pieces that I need for the balcony and for the house, and - hey - they'lll have a big jeep. If we're doing that do you want to come along? Or me to get you anything?

Ooh, yes please (to both compost & lift/fetching of stuff). Do you know what time you'll be going? I need to leave to go to Deal somewhere around 4, but am available before that. Otherwise I might just ask you to pick me up some compost - that's probably all I need at the moment, since I'm supposed to have pots arriving in the next day or so. Thank you lots!

I was just talking to my Daddin' and he's perfectly happy to vroom us off to a garden centre or somesuch. I'll call you in the morning as soon as we've planned a plan.

Gosh - busy tomorrow, then, given the weddng in the morning. I must plan a plan. Early afternoon? One-ish or so? I shall call you.

I think I'm not going to either wedding (too early) or reception (a bit late, by the time I've got there & then back to LB in time to go to Deal), so I shall be around all morning/afternoon. Early afternoon would be fine - call me when you're sorted!
