Since BMovie isn't happening on Friday (boo), kitty_goth & I have been cogitating over possible alternatives. I've been meaning to go to Popstarz for ages - anyone else fancy it? (it's at the Scala, nr Kings X, entry free before 11 with flyer available from website)

Cor, it's like a crossover of Northampton's least shit best club The Blast Chamber, what has two rooms, one playing metal and one playing, er, cheesy 80s and indie. There was a goth room downstairs but it's in abeyance after an unfortunate incident were a dozen people got sired during a Dead Can Dance track.

Someone somewhere claimed that there's some nu-metal played, but their website says indie (variously old, middling, & new, along with Hole, Garbage, et al), & then there's a "good pop" room with 80s - now good pop choons. And then there's an R'n'B room, but we draw a veil over that.

Oh, I'd forgotten about that. But this week I have the urge to jump up & down in an energetic fashion, & I have this sneaking feeling that Crimes Against Pop will not supply the means whereby to sate said urge. Go on, come to Popstarz. I will help you in the not drinking by, er, not drinking either (well, not hardly any) myself as I am broke & will likely be endeavouring to cycle up & back.
