Since BMovie isn't happening on Friday (boo), [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth & I have been cogitating over possible alternatives. I've been meaning to go to Popstarz for ages - anyone else fancy it? (it's at the Scala, nr Kings X, entry free before 11 with flyer available from website)

Brokey broke broke, fa la la la la. Also Popstarz is shit (still better than B-Movie though). Hope you like the rocking sound of the Cardigans!

THAT SODDING NOISE. *weeee-weerr-wurrrgh weeergh-wuh-weeergh*. I would like it if they lost their favourite game, especially if their favourite game was bungee jumping or extreme ironing. Also That Woman made me wait in the cold as she took bloody AGES leaving her bloody table at the pizza room. I still have flashbacks to the cold whenever I see her gurning curmudgeonly old face.

I mean, no-one's allowed to be more gurning and curmudgeonly than ME!

I suppose I could be tempted, though I will have to put it to my houseguest for the weekend, the lovely (and very, very Irish)[livejournal.com profile] olethros. I can't get the website to work (requires flash) but I'm imagining it plays mostly cheesy 80s and indie?

Dude, it plays nu-metal these days! So I'm told.

Cor, it's like a crossover of Northampton's least shit best club The Blast Chamber, what has two rooms, one playing metal and one playing, er, cheesy 80s and indie. There was a goth room downstairs but it's in abeyance after an unfortunate incident were a dozen people got sired during a Dead Can Dance track.

I was thinking of going to Crimes Against Pop on Friday, but am not sure I can cope with the not drinking thing.

[clicky]

Oh, I like the look of that and then some. But I am sworn off clubbing for a few months due to obesity and poverty... talk to me about going in March or April, if it's still running.
