Out & about

julietI keep meaning to update, & then forget to. I am rubbish.

beingjdc in Northampton last weekend, which was cool. His parents also showed up, with furniture & cleaning products, & cleaned everything in sight. jdc & I watched Josie & the Pussycats. (um, amn't *that* lazy honest, I blame jdc). Went out in the evening to an 80s/metal club the name of which escapes me, via a couple of pubs, and proceeded to drink large quantities of vodka & red bull (me) & Smirnoff Ice (jdc). Which led to much leching at girls on both of our parts, whoops. And I met a nice lass called Erin, whom I hope to persuade to visit London sometime in the nearish future.... Less enjoyable was being woken the next morning at 0930 by jdc's mum hoovering *again*, but never mind.
Went to the Monday Club (comedy) on, um, Monday, with assorted persons includingsbp & Pete. The compere was good, as was the last bloke. And the second-to-last bloke, who was morose & Welsh & quite funny. One of the others was frankly tedious - basically came on & said "Hello, I'm gay, & that will be my joke for the evening". Gah. Definitely a fun night all round, though, hurrah.
Sawkitty_goth on Tuesday, via a stop at the Crown for beer & meeting of various people who were off to some gig at the Garage. Apparently it was good, but we just went home & had very nice stirfry & watched some of Shameless (which I rather liked).
Wednesday the truly acemarnameow took me out for dinner & to see Les Miserables at the Palace. Which was, of course, fantastic (I have seen it, er, 3 times before, & know it off by heart). I will confess to a certain amount of weeping more or less throughout. But nevertheless *bouncebouncebounce*. We were right down the front as well, which was cool. Marna & I are now thinking of going to see Tell Me On A Sunday - anyone interested?
Lunch yesterday withspikeylady - she rocks, & it was v good to catch up with her :-) Then Pete & I stayed in in the evening, & watched daft comedy. And I knitted. Pete's jumper & my top are both coming along v nicely.
Off to Slimes tomorrow night, so *clearly* you lot should all come out as well. Go on go on.
