I think I am high on rocketwatercressbabyspinach salad. I ate an entire packet (cos it was on cheap at Sainsburys), & very nice it was too. Full of iron & possibly vit C (I *think* greenery tends to have vit C, but ICBW). Mmm, roll on spring when I can plant more wild rocket in the garden & thus have *cheap* rocket[0]. Though last year's stuff seems mostly to have survived - we will see if it sends out nice fresh new tasty leaves come the spring.

Semi-productive day. Better than yesterday. Had a useful yesterday evening, as well - more reminding myself about Java, & then a long fight with morticia (laptop) about the wireless card. So far I continue to lose. I shall have another bash at the weekend. There is some confusion with drivers, it seems. GrrRRRR.

Off to Islington to see [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth this evening. This is good.

[wanders off in still slightly flaky fashion...]

[0] Oh bugger, forgot *again* to send off the seed/plant catalogue order form at the weekend. I will never have my blackberry & raspberry canes at this rate.

yes i have heard ph34rphul stories of the mint and its ravening ways! i'm more worried about the parsley though - the mint's gone a bit brown and raggedy in this crazy weather, but the parsley is *indestructible* - and it's spreading! (the sage is doing pretty well too but the chives oh dear they're not long for this world...)

i am so getting another window box. wild rocket++!

Sage needs quite a bit of room to spread its roots, as I understand (though once it's settled somewhere, it grows like crazy). I had some in a pot with parsley, thyme and rosemary, and it died off because the other herbs crowded it.

The mint and chives will go insane in April and try to take over the world. Save the worrying for when you try to find your house under the swarming yet pleasantly scented jungle.

give us a yell if you need a hand with the wireless stuff. I seem to have gone out and fixed an awful lot, so might save you some gnashing of teeth if it's something obscure-but-sorted-out-before.
