Hmmm....

Good things:

• Lots of nice things growing in the garden, esp carrots, rocket, raspberries, & courgettes.
• My mum has tickets for her & me to go see La Boheme in Trafalgar Square next week.
• Have done certain amount of Useful Stuff at work today.
• Pete liked his birthday presents :-)
• Going to see General Khaki tonight.
• Am wearing lovely pretty top that P bought me at Glasto.

Bad things:

• Yet another crop of basil has bitten the dust courtesy of the slugs, just when I thought they'd finally survived. Will have *one last go*, this time by growing them indoors, but it's basically past the season now :-/
• Couldn't get another pair of tickets to La Boheme, so Pete & kitty_goth won't be coming with
• Still sniffly & full of cold, & have now lost my voice almost entirely.
• Cannot face doing next set of Useful Things.

I suppose the good things win out, especially when put in the context that at least the final two bad things are due to my cold, which is only a temporary thing.
