julietBeen knackered all week (stress, mostly, I suspect), bah. This meant missing the General Khaki gig in favour of a hot bath (my back's been aching, as well :-/ ) and an early night. However, I gather from ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
dogrando that it was a top gig, & he's certainly had 'Animal' in his head more or less since then.
Date withkitty_goth on Wednesday - we watched Fight Club, which I didn't think all that much of. I mean, it was OK I suppose, & there was a vaguely interesting bit about 20 min before the end (but then the ending itself dragged on rather), but mostly pretty tedious. But then, I don't like violent films, in general, & particularly not ones *about* violence. [shrugs] Oh well, at least now I both know what everyone's on about, & that I disagree with them.
Pete & I paid an exciting visit to John Lewis yesterday to look at flooring & carpets & whatnot[0], & then went to Satsuma (a Wagamamas-alike) for dinner (not v impressed. I gather it's better for non-veggies), before visitingmarnameow in her hospital-ward-incarceration. I gather she's out today, which is Good. This weekend includes plans for a) MFI & b) general quietness.
Off to Whitby on Wednesday, hurrah.
[0] the budget progresses apace, although we've had to give up on redoing the bathroom for the moment - not enough cash! The pipes all work & everything, so that's OK.
