How did it come to be Friday already, then?

Kings Lynn was nice. We did mostly bugger all, which suited us fine. Wandered round the town a bit on Friday, bought some books, went to a v good restaurant called The Riverside Restaurant, which even catered for vegans without demur. Gosh. Spent Saturday mostly in bed, reading & dozing & chatting & suchlike. Though we did emerge for meals (breakfast in hotel, lunch from corner shop, dinner we actually went properly outside for). Sunday we went for a nice long walk up the Wash, which would have been more fun had I been wearing shoes that still had something approaching a sole. As then my feet/knees might not have given way somewhat halfway through. Ah well.

And we mostly avoided transport problems with the powercut on the way there on Thursday (got to London Bridge OK, had to go aboveground there, but got on a bus to Kings X without trouble). Hurrah.

Monday [livejournal.com profile] shadow_jess & I went to the Science Museum, which was cool. Many buttons to press! And pretty things like the maths models, & the Difference Engine. And Launch Pad, which I am impressed to discover they let adults into. I thought you had to be little to be allowed in. We were supposed to be going to a lunchtime Prom at the V&A featuring cellos, but it was sold out (hadn't even occurred to either of us to buy tickets, whoops). So pub, back to the Science Museum, feet wore out, more pub, more different pub (spotting a theme yet?), & then pizza/wine/sillyfilms. All top stuff. [livejournal.com profile] shadow_jess++.

Round [livejournal.com profile] marnameow's on Tuesday evening, to eat pizza & drink wine & talk nonsense with her & the rather unwell [livejournal.com profile] sbp. Poor Sean. V nice to see Marna - not seen her in *ages*. Sorry, love, I've been a bit crap recently. Round [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth's Wednesday night, which was also v nice, yay. And a little visit to london.pm yesterday before going home, being cooked curry by Pete, & watching Labyrinth. David Bowie's trousers really are *very* tight in that, it's a little disturbing.

I have had a surprisingly productive week at work. This worries me rather, as it is unusual, or at least, I have been feeling distinctly unproductive the last few weeks. I have been Ticking Things Off Lists. I have some thoughts about work, but I think I'll post them separately.

*you*'ve been crap?!

So anyhway, yes, David Bowie. Apparently his trousers area good thing. See, I agree with you, but everyone I know who might evern remotely be of a "ooh, males, shiny" persuasion starts drooling when Labyrinth is mentioned.

Its just disturbing dammit.
