MPs challenged to a game of cricket on May Day

Anyone interested in going to a knitting exhibition sometime in the next month?

Weekend was good in patches & stressful in patches. On the upside: we have Glastonbury tickets! And I did more carpentry (nearly finished 2nd bookcase, also built a shoe-shelf for the hall cupboard). I now have a large blister on my right palm, though. Too much screwing, y'see...

[livejournal.com profile] dogrando & I spent several hours yesterday evening at the Coronet in Elephant & Castle, watching "School of Rock" & "Team America: World Police", both of which were exceptionally silly but rather fine. Followed this up with a decent curry next door before cycling home *very slowly* stuffed full of food.

Other things that I've been up to: fantastic date last week with the splendid [livejournal.com profile] spikeylady at Manna (mmm vegan chocolate cake); saw "The Witches" (& then went for dinner & Belgian beer) with [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth, [livejournal.com profile] easterbunny & [livejournal.com profile] aca, which was also a most enjoyable evening; saw Jonny Greenwood's choice of Interesting Music (including the London Sinfonietta, the Nazareth Orchestra, & seven ondes Martinot, one played by Mr Greenwood himself), which was good but not as good as the Sinfonietta/random electronica collaboration they did at Ether last year; had nice night in with my [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth.

This week is to be Quieter. Yes.
