Phone woes

My Treo is playing up (has been for a while, but now it *really* is) - phone calls (whether making or answering) lead to it crashing. This is Not Good. PalmOne are going to repair it for me (since it's within its year's warranty), but this requires a) a delay of 3 days while I get Orange to send me proof-of-purchase, then b) a further delay of 10-14 days while they fix it. [sniffle]

So - does anyone have a spare handset that will work with an Orange SIM, that I could borrow for the next couple of weeks? Will buy BEER (or GIN, or ORANGE JUICE, as preferred) in compensation.

I am going to start using my P800 again, because I'm used enough to the new one for festival and whatnot use. So you can borrow that for a bit. 'S like Pete's - just a slightly later model.

It's Vodafone, but I'm almost completely certain that it's not locked.

Yes. It got dropped in an puddle but it's fine now. Might need charging though. Will bring it round Marna's on Sunday? Or can meet somewhere in C London with it tomorrow if urgent?

I don't know if it needs unlocking or anything like that. Shouldn't do, I haven't asked anyone to block it.

If you got it with a contract, it's probably locked (most of 'em seem to be these days). So if that contract was with other-than-Orange, it's likely (though not certain) that it's no good to me :-(

I have a Sony CMD-J5.  However, the battery case is held on with electrical tape, so I recommend using an alternative.
