Where did the weekend go?
Sep. 22nd, 2003 02:50 pmParty on Friday night - my friends Arjun and Claire are off travelling for a few months & decided they needed a leaving party. Was good fun - saw Helen & Andrew who I haven't seen in ages, had a couple of beers, chatted a bit. And made the last train home as I couldn't face faffing with nightbuses.
Went to John Lewis on Saturday, to buy circular needles & yarn. Succeeded with needles, failed with yarn as it was all too bloody expensive. I think Ebay may be the way forward... Getting to JL by bus takes a damn long time (but! a day's bus pass is £2, whereas a day's Travelcard is £4.10). Took myself off up to Islington to meet the returned-from-France
shadow_jess, whereupon we spent the evening sitting round eating pizza, drinking Pepsi, & watching old Buffy episodes. All good things, in particular the company :-) I was vaguely intending to go to Slimelight, but
shadow_jess was knackered, as was
kitty_goth by the time *he* finally got back, so I just headed home instead.
london.crafts meeting at mine Sunday afternoon. Which was most enjoyable. Many people & various making-type things all over the living-room (later we wound up out in the garden; somehow spreading onto the decking appears inevitable in this house, though possibly this won't last once it starts getting cold again). I *finally* got started on the skirt for which I've had material sitting in my pile-of-material for the last 2 years or so. Hurrah.
Today I am mostly feeling homicidal. Which is, y'know, nice. Or something.
