New local! And music

From my bike list: "Monday 4 July: The Angel on Bermondsey Wall opens at 5pm after being closed for a couple
of years. Beautifully refurbished by Samuel Smith's."

So, anyone fancy a drink there on Monday? It might be a bit crowded, though, I guess, if they're doing Grand Opening. Thursday 7th would be another option, or Sunday 10th. (location of Bermondsey Wall)

And this (warning: music/video) is a rather sweet video for one of the songs we saw Nizlopi play on Friday at Glastonbury. This was just after the Friday morning flood panic; we'd just had breakfast, it was looking rather like raining again, & our mood was not all it should be. Ducked into the Croissant Neuf tent as it was nearby & music was happening; and were enormously cheered by Nizlopi, who were ace & caused much smiling & cheerfulness. The song/video at that link was prob their best.

Yes indeed. The Angel used to be an excellent pub. I'm not sure about the when, but I suspect any of the above would be fine.

I might well try to come down for teh pub actually, work/time/etc permitting, especially since I didn't manage to meet up with you at Glasto (sorry!). I think I can do Monday, Thursday or Sunday. Probably.

ANGEL! Re-opening!! YAY!
It's the most locallest of local pubs to me. Ace.
I'll definitely be there, but not sure how well it's going to coincide with your visit. But I can try, and probably should.

Did you decide that this pubmeet would happen on the Monday? Only the Carlton is doing a pound-a-pint evening as the end of its beer festival on Monday, so my loyalties would be sorely divided...
