juliet: Paper Xmas tree and paper Tardis (home-made Xmas decorations) (xmas tardis)
[personal profile] juliet

On the twelfth day of Christmas, julietk sent to me...
Twelve politics knitting
Eleven ramones skydiving
Ten boys a-sleeping
Nine bagpuss geeking
Eight herbs a-cooking
Seven pixies a-switching
Six computers a-cycling
Five phi-i-i-ilip jeays
Four storm kettles
Three herb gardens
Two roast potatoes
...and an allotment in a curry.
Get your own Twelve Days:

I want curried allotment! Also I like the image of the Ramones skydiving.

Today is work Xmas do (I have warned them I am vegan so hopefully there will be FOOD I can snaffle); then Springs gig. And then it is nearly Xmas! And I am kind-of sorted for presents, ish, so that's good.

Xmas Tardis icon! (it has a Moomin on the top but I am not sure you can see it). I think another day of making Xmas decorations with added BEER (& also possibly the playing of "Christmas In The Stars" courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] dogrando. I am unsure whether this is likely to encourage people along...) is called for - anyone about on the 23rd? Glue! Beer! Rousing choruses of "What Do You Get A Wookie For Xmas (When He Already Owns A Comb)?"! What could possibly go wrong?

Edit: firstly, Xmas dec construction could alternatively occur on the 24th, except that I have veg to peel that afternoon as well so maybe not. Secondly: REX THE DOG = BEST THING EVER yes I know I already knew this but I am getting EVER SO SLIGHTLY OVEREXCITED here!

Which day is the 23rd? Saturday? I want to play with the decorations. (Sean's mum is down for a little bit before Christmas but I cannot remember when *that* is either but I think it might clash.)

I am being utterly disorganised re. any sort of Christmas plotting and this is making me feel all rubbish. (I *am* feeling less goth today, though.)

Mmmmm POTATOES. I am helping you lot eat potatoes on the 26th THEREFORE I shall try to get to Places in time for Helping Peel etc. What time will that be, any idea?

Decs on 23rd: POSSIBLY but I do not know what is going on with The PM yet. I will try and get him along and possibly JUST POSSIBLY bring some tasty treats (depending on whether my muffin-experiments turn out acceptable ;))

And MarnaMarnaMarna do not be a Goth! I am making you mince pies on Sat :D

I will be queen of the kitchen all day on the 26th. So you can come and assist (carefully) any time you like.

Oh! I should think about getting a knife before then. I cannot cook the Giant Feast without a proper knife.

Mince Pies! Today I am not a goth. Right now I am listening to DOG!

I recommend J Lewis for knives. I say this ONLY because I was in there earlier ans they have MINI LE CREUSET CASSEROLE DISHES like 10cm wide! With tiny lids and everything! I nearly died of utterly-useless-bit-so-so-cute. They probably have good knives as well ;)

DOG DOG DOG! :)

Do you mean the one that's opposite Fopp? That's pretty good.

I was also suckered by Le Creuset - very mushy couple are getting the heart-shaped mini-casseroles, which are officially the ONLY Xmas presents I have bought anyone this year!

The one opposite Fopp is Pages, and is good. There's also Leon Jaeggi, which is also on Shaftesbury Ave, just near the Curzon Soho. Personally, I have a slight preference for the latter: it's a bit smaller, but also cuddlier, and I always get slightly confused in Pages.

It is indeed rather large and shiny, which can be daunting, esp for someone as uninitiated as me. I've not been to LJ, perhaps I should potter down there? I think [livejournal.com profile] ariiadne would be made very happy by a trip there when she gets back.

DOG DOG DOG DOG!

I know where to get knives. I just need to 1) see if I can get Global to replace my knife for free (because it was very expensive and not very old and ting) and 2) decide what sort of knife I want if they won't. And find one with the right heft.

I am subjecting the office to DOG! Hurrah!

That XMAS plotting looks like a PLANG. Although I might be too busy to come Christmas cycling. Also, we need to go allotmenting on the 24th, for sproutcatching. And there's Sean's mum to factor in somewhere.

Next: presents. *runs away to ebay*

Ten boys a-sleeping

With each other, presumably, you big pervert.

If everyone is very very good, I may also play Cassetteboy's Festive Christmas. Let nobody say I'm not full of seasonal cheer.
