Dreamwidth open beta: April 30
Mar. 31st, 2009 09:15 amI posted before about why I've been doing some coding for Dreamwidth. There's now a date set for open beta: April 30th. At this point, you'll be able to get an account one of three ways:
- get an invite code from one of the people who already has an account (not sure how many I'll have to give out), and get a free account.
- try a paid account, starting at $3/month. No invite code required; when the paid time expires your account reverts to a free account.
- buy one of the 400 Seed Accounts (i.e. permanent accounts) being put on sale then, at $200 each. Which is obviously quite a lot of money unless you're *really* enthusiastic about the project. (It's currently expected that they'll sell out pretty fast though.)
Free accounts won't have ads, I note.
(edit:) List of features that DW will have!
ION: I already have a Dreamwidth account, but now I am wondering whether I should switch back to julietk as a username for it. Polltime!
