Yuletide 2019 Letter

Lots of info further down, in case you like that. (As a writer I find it helpful, so maybe you will too!) If that's not your bag, feel free to skip the rest of the letter. I'm just going to flag up that I absolutely can't cope with rape, serious child/animal harm, or child/animal death. And thank you SO MUCH for volunteering to write one of these tiny fandoms; can't wait to see what you come up with!
OK, so, a bit more info. In generally-do-want terms, I tend to come to Yuletide for, broadly speaking, the cheerful side of fandom. (TBH that's mostly true of much of my fannish preferences even out of Yuletide). I’m absolutely not averse to a bit of angst/pining/etc etc en route but I really do strongly prefer a happy ending. I'm juliet on AO3 so feel free to poke around my bookmarks/works for further info about my tastes (though uh I confess it's all a bit Good Omens in there atm :D ) Happy to read gen or slash (at whatever rating) as you see fit.
Fandom-specific stuff!
I haven't specified characters in any of the fandoms in my sign-up; I'm happy with fic involving any of the nominated characters for all the fandoms.
Band Sinister
Single book so easy to pick up, and utterly delightful. I am particularly fond of the poly aspect of the book. I’d love to see fics set before or after the story, or maybe bits of the story from other people’s perspectives. Please don’t break up any of the in-book relationships in book/post-book fic (obviously if you’re doing pre-book fic then some of them won’t exist), and I’d strongly prefer no more than canon-typical angst/hurt/etc.
Goblin Emperor
Another standalone, also utterly delightful. I would take anything set in this world, but if you’re looking for prompts: more Maia dealing with political complications? something on the relationship between the nohechari? Maia and Csethiro getting to know each other more? Anything about Csevet!
In Other Lands
Anything in this world would be great, but if you’d like a prompt: post-book stories would be lovely, or an interlude from within the book that we don’t see? Something from Serene’s previous history? The three of them getting into more trouble during their time at school?
Swordheart
I’d love post-book fic, or anything about Zale.
Northern Exposure
I adored this show as a teenager. Honestly, anything that takes me back here would be delightful. I'd somewhat prefer gen in this fandom — it was the relationships between everyone in town that I really loved with this. (NB this would probably be the hardest fandom on this list to pick up as there’s 6 seasons of it whereas the books are all standalone.)
Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty
God this is a glorious thing. TBH I have no idea how I’d go about writing fic for this myself so, uh, have at it? I will be impressed and delighted with anything you care to write! (If you feel like picking this one up, I know there’s a DVD available at least in the UK, and of course it’s fairly short, and tbh it’s amazing anyway so, you know, I encourage you to watch it.)
