Glastonbury weather update

Both the BBC and Metcheck now say sunny Thursday Friday Sunday, bit of rain Saturday daytime. The BBC webcam here, possibly indicates that currently it is raining, but let's hope that it stops soon. On the bright side, getting tent pegs into the ground ought to be no problem :-)

I left my bike at St P this morning, concluding that I would drown if I attempted to cycle to work. This may have been wussy of me, but there we go.

I cycled in today. (But with the advantage of having overshoes and trousers to hand) The rain was fine, but the road surface was horrible - I fishtailed twice. And the traffic was verging on gridlocked...

No surprise there... I'd probably have gone ahead and cycled if I'd been at home & thus had my waterproof kit. But if the road surface was that bad I'm glad I didn't attempt it - coming down the hill from the Pentonville Rd would have been highly unpleasant (coming from home would have been OK as there's nothing serious in the hill line).

I cycled too... but I waited until 11am to do it. I just couldn't face getting *that* soaked.
