Life goes on & all that
Jul. 8th, 2005 10:31 amI'm working from home today, which is entirely unnecessary as have bike, will cycle. Am just lazy. I initially felt a bit guilty about this, what with all this "show those damn terrorists they haven't affected us!" spirit floating round. Then I realised that if the idea is to not let the terrorists affect us, then clearly I *should* act as normal i.e. seize any opportunity that presents itself to stay home. Hurrah! (also I *do* have a GP appt this afternoon so would have had to come home early anyway; in fact, WFH means that I actually *will* do a full day's work due to not losing 80min to commuting).
P & I are off out clubbing this evening, to Buttoned Down Disco, which looks like it might be fun.
Edit: there was something here about yesterday's events, but have now cut it as it appeared open to misinterpretation in a couple of different ways & I can't face trying to rewrite it more clearly as am feeling frazzled. Apart from: " 'quaking in terror' my fucking arse" which I think is clear enough.
