I'm working from home today, which is entirely unnecessary as have bike, will cycle. Am just lazy. I initially felt a bit guilty about this, what with all this "show those damn terrorists they haven't affected us!" spirit floating round. Then I realised that if the idea is to not let the terrorists affect us, then clearly I *should* act as normal i.e. seize any opportunity that presents itself to stay home. Hurrah! (also I *do* have a GP appt this afternoon so would have had to come home early anyway; in fact, WFH means that I actually *will* do a full day's work due to not losing 80min to commuting).

P & I are off out clubbing this evening, to Buttoned Down Disco, which looks like it might be fun.

Edit: there was something here about yesterday's events, but have now cut it as it appeared open to misinterpretation in a couple of different ways & I can't face trying to rewrite it more clearly as am feeling frazzled. Apart from: " 'quaking in terror' my fucking arse" which I think is clear enough.

(Hiya, remember me? :P )

They kept mentioning the london attack here on TV every hour (I was woken up thanks to a phone call from my mum shouting on me to watch tv.. she's now trying to convince me to not go back to london, but it's not really working for her..), hmmm, where was I? Right.. anyways, They interviewed the Israeli embassador in London, and he said something like "The difference between London and Israel is, that in Israel, when something like that happens, people just move on. Here, it's as if life stopped."
On any case, I shall return to London real soon, send hi to everyone for me :P lol

OK some people went home early from work... forgive us Mr Israeli Ambassador, it's just that when the Central Line isn't running, it makes it hard to get home.
